Unlike in the escape rooms you do not solve puzzles in a single room but go on a treasure hunt across the whole ship – and the groups compete against each other. The scavenger hunt is harder than the escape rooms.

Back in the 1960s, during a voyage, something dreadful happened aboard the Rickmer Rickmers: pirates ambushed the ship. The captain tragically lost his life and went overboard. Ever since, his spirit has found no peace and still haunts the captain’s cabin to this day. As specialists in supernatural phenomena, you are now called upon to uncover the mystery of his story and finally help the captain find his eternal rest.

The Forgotten Treasure
During renovation work, a mysterious old document was found under the old planks – and you have to examine it closely. It takes you on a journey across the ship where you must solve puzzles, use your wits and prove true teamwork. Only those who can solve all the puzzles are worthy of the treasure.
Attention: This is NOT an escape room but a scavenger hunt, played against each other in small groups of 2 to 8 people aboard the entire ship! A total of 48 people can play at the same time. Depending on how much time you take to explore the ship during the hunt, you should allow 80–100 minutes.
You’ll need a mobile phone for the scavenger hunt.
The scavenger hunt was designed for adults.

The Sailors’ Last Exam
Discover the ship, solve puzzles and tasks and convince your examiner.
The only thing that separates you from your honorary sailor award is the legendary final exam, which will test all the skills you’ll need as a sailor on board. Only with teamwork, brains, creativity and logic will you be able to pass the exam.
Watch out! This is NOT an escape room but a scavenger hunt, which you play in small groups of 4 to 8 people competing against each other aboard the entire ship! Up to four groups – up to 28 people – can start at the same time. The scavenger hunt can be played in German and English. Depending on how much time you take to explore the ship along the way, you should allow 60 to 90 minutes.
The scavenger hunt was designed for adults.

Can we reserve dates without obligation?
Unfortunately that is not possible. Demand for our Escape Rooms is simply too high to hold dates – they go to the company that commits first.

Can we set the start times of the escape rooms ourselves?
Only at the times shown in the booking calendar.
Why that is
Other groups play after you and want to start on time. That only works if the start times stay fixed.
Can the puzzles also be solved in English?
Yes – all Escape Rooms and scavenger hunts on both ships are available in English.

The air conditioning is powerful enough to keep the rooms cool even when it is over 35 degrees outside.
Is there anything to drink on site?
CAP SAN DIEGO
We offer water, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. If you pay by invoice, you can add a welcome drink for all players in advance – 28 euros per Escape Room, just let us know via the contact form.
RICKMER RICKMERS
There you can buy drinks until 6 pm in the on-board restaurant. We do not sell drinks there ourselves; in some cases the restaurant may be closed at other times too.
